Aguero and Llorente set to sign for Real Madrid
Published:Sergio Aguero and Fernando Llorente could both be seen in Real Madrid colours next season as they look to build on any achievements they enjoy during the current campaign.
Real Madrid are 3/1 in the La Liga betting to win the title this season, but an injury to Gonzalo Higuain has left them short of options to partner Cristiano Ronaldo as they continue their pursuit of leaders Barcelona.
It now seems unlikely that any permanent deal will be struck in the January transfer window, with manager Jose Mourinho having to conduct a loan deal if he wants to boost his options.
Reports suggest that Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to complete a loan deal from Manchester City to cure this lack of depth in the short term, with Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Miroslav Klsoe among other names mentioned as possible options.
Although Adebayor could prove a useful asset in the short term, there seems little chance of the relationship being made permanent as plans already appear to be in place to overcome the striker shortage in the long haul.
Private radio station Cadena Ser has stated that Real Madrid will pay the buyout clause of €45m for Argentine striker Sergio Aguero from neighbours Atletico Madrid.
Aguero has proved fairly prolific in his La Liga career to date since arriving at the Vicente Calderon from Independiente, with over 60 league goals in just over four seasons.
Furthermore, Real Madrid would be willing to meet the minimum fee release clause in the contract of Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, but only if they get their wanted price for current out-of-favour forward Karim Benzema.
Llorente already has 12 league goals this season, which is fewer than only Ronaldo and Barcelona duo Lionel Messi and David Villa.
