Bet on England to continue winning run against Australia in T20

The Ashes Tests may be over but the one day series offers Australia a chance to start the rebuilding process ahead of February’s World Cup.

But England have won their last three matches on Australian soil and can continue their strong run of form in the opening Twenty20 match in Adelaide of which they are 5/6 to emerge victorious.

England can boast the status of World Twenty20 Champions but it was Australia who met them in 2010’s final in Barbados and the dejected Australians will view this match as an opportunity for revenge.

The Aussies have made seven changes to the team that lost the fifth and final Test in Sydney – four changes to the side that lost that World Twenty20 final – but the return of Brett Lee is an exciting prospect for Australian fans.

Australia are 5/6 to beat England and can boast a one-day bowling line-up in Lee, Shaun Tait, Mitchell Johnson and Steve O’Keefe that is full of pace.

But the batting performances displayed by the English cricketers on this tour have been some of the finest they have ever produced.

While only Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood and Ian Bell will survive from the Test team, England still have plenty of batting in Steven Davies, Eoin Morgan, Luke Wright and Michael Yardy.

At 5/6, the England batsman can score more sixes than Australia.

T20 offers punters plenty of match bets and some of the picks of the market are the fall of the first England wicket to be over 22.5 at 5/6 and Ian Bell to score two or more runs than his counterpart David Warner at 5/6.

It’s the first game of a two-game series and England are 9/4 to register the series win.

A £10 stake on England winning the T20 series would return £32.50. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
