Crawley Town now in to 2000/1 to win FA Cup

| 10.01.2011

CRAWLEY TOWN are odds-on to be eliminated in the next round of the FA Cup with Ladbrokes despite their cup heroics on Monday night.

Crawley beat Derby in the third round thanks to a last minute winner from Sergio Torres and earn a trip to Torquay in the fourth round. It’s 2/1 they progress and then get eliminated in the fifth round.

Despite the gap in league standings Crawley were just 2/1 to beat Derby and were well backed for victory with several large bets placed in the 24 hours running up to the match.

Crawley are now 2000/1 to lift the trophy from an initial quote of 5000/1.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Despite this game being considered an upset Crawley were well backed as our punters expected another giant-killing. A famous cup run could now be on the cards but it appears they will get eliminated in the next round.”
