England 1/2 to retain Ashes again in 2013 after Australia romp
Published:England have already been given cricket betting odds of 1/2 to win a third straight Ashes renewal in 2013 after sealing their 3-1 series success in Australia.
Chris Tremlett took the final wicket at Sydney as Australia were bowled out for 281 in their second innings, handing England victory in the fifth Test by an innings and 83 runs.
This ensured that England collected their first Ashes victory in Australia in 24 years and they should find conditions even more suiting when returning to England in two years time.
England have also won the last two series’ on home soil 2-1 and based on the state of the present Australian team, they should have plenty in their armoury to triumph again.
Also in England’s favour is that they will not be forced to make any widespread changes to their Test team, unlike Australia, with only Paul Collingwood needing to be replaced after announcing his retirement from Test cricket for England.
However, the current trip to Australia is still not over, with two T20 games still to be played and then seven one-day internationals.
It is expected that England and Australia will each win one of the T20 games as the price of the draw in the mini-series is 11/10.

Perhaps most important is the result of the one-day series, particularly as the Cricket World Cup is fast approaching this year.
Australia and England are both 5/6 to win the series and England secured victory in this format on their last visit to Australia in 2006 after losing the Test series 5-0.
