Four draws seal super Sunday for ecstatic bookies

FOUR consecutive Premier League stalemates saw Ladbrokes enjoy one of their most lucrative Sunday for years as punters endured an afternoon of frustration.

Punters who had predicted all four matches to finish level would have got odds of 103/1.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “Draws are invariably good news for the bookies to get one after another was fantastic.

“As the afternoon wore on we were expecting our luck to change but we’ve finished the weekend out in front. There are some accas out there that will take the shine off it but we’re happy enough.”

Manchester United’s failure to beat Spurs at White Hart Lane was the best result of the weekend for the bookies. United have been cut to 9/1 to complete the season unbeaten and are 4/6 to win the league.

Spurs are out to 33/1 to win the title.
