Mourinho to give Real title hopes a boost with Adebayor signing

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is set to launch a bid to sign wantaway Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor on loan until the end of the season.

Adebayor won’t be at the Bernabeu for Real’s Copa del Rey clash against local rivals Atletico Madrid tonight, but that shouldn’t matter, with Real huge favourites in the betting at 1/3 to come out on top.

According to the Mirror, Fulham and Monaco are also interested in snapping up the striker, but Real would surely be Adebayor’s preferred destination of choice – especially considering the Spanish giants can certainly afford his £160,000-a-week wages.

Mancini may be about to lose one player, but he hope to bring in another at the end of the season – Gareth Bale. The Italian has confirmed his interest in the Wales winger and hopes to snap him up at the end of the season.

City return to Premier League action this week against Wolves. Mick McCarthy’s men beat City 2-1 at Molineux earlier in the season thanks to goals from Nenad Milijas and David Edwards after – in one of his rare starts – Adebayor gave City the lead from the penalty spot.

City are massive 3/10 favourites to win their second encounter this season, with Wolves an enormous 10/1 to do the league double over Mancini’s men.
