Nadal 6/4 favourite for Australian Open
Published:Rafael Nadal is the 6/4 favourite for the Australian Open with Ladbrokes.
Andy Murray is 7/1 which is the same price about Novak Djokovic with Andy Roddick a 40/1 chance.
It’s 12/1 that Nadal wins the Open without dropping a set and 50/1 Murray does the same.
Murray’s most likely stage of elimination appears to be the semi-finals as he is 11/8 to go out then, with 11/2 the price that he comes second in this tournament again.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The big guns are moving ominously through the gears as the tournament heats up. We expect Murray to duck out at the semi final stage but it wouldn’t be a huge shock if progresses further.”
