Sevilla to seal win treble

Published:

Sevilla may not have won three La Liga games in succession since November 2009, but they are 4/6 to do so again with a victory over Espanyol.

Frederic Kanoute’s goals have been largely responsible for Sevilla’s decent recent form as he has scored five of the club’s last six league goals and can prove the difference between the two sides.

This is despite the fact that Seville drew blanks in both of their fixtures with Espanyol last season.

Espanyol’s away form this season does not come anywhere close to that on their own patch and they have taken maximum points on just one of their last nine trips to Sevilla.

However, La Liga betting odds have Espanyol at 4/1 to beat Sevilla and claim just a second victory in their last six away games.

Elsewhere in the Spanish top flight, Athletic Bilbao will want to make it four league victories in succession against Racing Santander.

Bilbao’s odds are 4/6 to beat Racing and the fact that the visitors have lost six of their nine away games in La Liga and won just once, makes this good value.

Meanwhile, Bilbao have triumphed in six of their nine outings at home and conceding just nine goals in the process.

This does not bode well for Racing, who are the lowest scorers in the league this season, finding the net only 14 times.

Racing are 4/1 to take maximum points from Bilbao, while a fourth successive draw is priced at 11/4.

Taking all facts into consideration, those fancying a bet in the correct scoreline market may be best served siding with Bilbao to win 1-0, which can be backed at 6/1.

A £25 bet on Sevilla beating Espanyol 3-2 could see a return of £625. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
