Will a coalition member join Labour in 2011?

| 17.01.2011

The odds of any MP crossing the floor this year have been slashed by Ladbrokes to 3/1.

Ed Miliband has offered disgruntled Liberal Democrat MPs the chance to defect to labour and it’s 3/1 any current Liberal MP takes him up on the offer.

10/1 is the price about any cabinet member crossing to labour this year with Simon Hughes a 33/1 shot to switch in 2011.

Nick Clegg is now just 10/1 (from 33/1) to join the Tories before the next General Election.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Miliband’s call could trigger a game of musical chairs in Parliament. Clegg’s defection to the Tories would be a shock but political punters aren’t ruling it out.”

Ladbrokes latest betting:
Any current MP to join another party in 2011 – 3/1

Any current cabinet member to defect to Labour in 2011 – 10/1

Any Lib Dem MP to defect to Labour in 2011 – 3/1

Simon Hughes to defect to Labour in 2011 – 33/1

Nick Clegg to defect to Tories before next General Election – 10/1

Nick Clegg NOT to be Lib Dem leader at 2011 conference – 10/1
