Baggies cut to 11/8 for the drop

West Brom have been cut to 11/8 for relegation this season by Ladbrokes.

Despite their last gasp equaliser against Wolves on Sunday they remain one point above the drop zone and are cut to 11/8 having been 13/8 on Hodgson’s appointment. Bottom club Wolves remain 4/6 with Blackpool also trimmed to 5/4 as they prepare to face Tottenham on Tuesday night at Bloomfield road.

Avram Grant is still the favourite in the ‘next manager to leave’ market at 11/8 having eased from long odds-on quotes (1/5) around the new year with Carlo Ancelotti the well backed 3/1 second favourite.

Interestingly, Sir Alex Ferguson is trimmed to 33/1 from 50/1 with Tony Pullis and Arsene Wenger the managers earning the longest quotes at 50/1.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The front five in the relegation market have pulled away from the rest and it looks like it’s going to be a really close scrap down there. Grant is a drifter in the next manager to leave market and we’ve just clipped Ferguson on the proviso that he could retire in the summer before anyone else leaves.”
