Bet on Man City vs Aris – Blues to have little trouble qualifying

Published:

Atletico Madrid can tell you that Aris Thessaloniki aren’t to be underestimated, but despite defeating the Europa League holders 3-2 at the Vicente Calderon, Manchester City should have no problems at Eastlands.

Aris have won just two of their last eleven away matches and Man City have won eight of their last nine matches at the City of Manchester stadium suggesting this shouldn’t be too difficult for the English club.

Match Odds

Four of Aris’ last six games have ended 0-0 and while Man City should have too much for the Greek side to handle, they should be weary of being drawn into a stalemate with the draw priced at 1/5 and 0-0 available at 12/1.

Manchester City’s betting odds suggest that this should be a walkover at 1/5 to beat Aris, but the Greek side have kept 15 clean sheets this season and it could be a lot tighter than many people expect.

Total Goals

Manchester City’s last six home games have produced a staggering 21 goals for the boys in blue, but only Bayern Munich and Roma have managed to score more than two against Aris in the Greek side’s last 10 away Europa League trips.

Backing under 2.5 goals offers plenty of value at 10/11 as does the 5/1 for Man City to win 2-0, and with four clean sheets in their last six home games, Aris will find it difficult to break down the Man City defence.

Mario Balotelli had his detractors after his moping performance against Notts County on the weekend, but with seven goals in 10 starts there is no doubting his ability and the temperamental striker is 3/1 to get the first goal and 8/11 to score at any time.

A £25 stake on Balotelli scoring first and Man City winning 2-0 would return £375. New customers can sign up here for a free bet worth £125.
