Bet on Newcastle v Arsenal – Gunners to keep up winning ways

| 04.02.2011

Arsenal can make it a magnificent seven wins in a row this Saturday – and it’s hard to see Newcastle stopping them.

The Gunners are currently 4/6 in the Premier League betting to beat the Magpies and close the gap on Manchester United to just two points – at least until United play Wolverhampton Wanderers a couple of hours later.

Newcastle have been on a dreadful run in the past few weeks and haven’t won in their last four games. They looked toothless in their 1-0 mid-week defeat to Fulham and Arsenal should have no trouble dispatching them.

The Gunners have the best away record in the Premier League and have only lost twice on the road this term – once against Man Utd and once against Chelsea. They have won their last two away games 3-0 against Birmingham City and West Ham United and can be backed at 11/1 to win by that score again.

If you fancy that, then new Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet, meaning you stand to win £300 for your stake.

However, despite their poor form, Newcastle’s record at St James’s Park remains relatively solid, with just two defeats in their last nine games. They have only won three of those games though, with the rest ending in draws.

Arsenal should come out on top at 4/6, but the Magpies won’t make it easy for the visitors. Also backing under 2.5 goals at 1/1 could be well worth a bet.

A £25 stake on Cesc Fabregas scoring the first goal would return £175. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
