Inter continue their surge towards the Serie A title

Inter Milan are now just 6/4 in the Serie A betting to win the title after Leonardo continued his revival of the club with an entertaining 5-3 win at home to Roma.

Prior to Leonardo’s arrival in December to replace Rafa Benitez, Inter’s title hopes appeared in jeopardy as they were 13 points behind neighbours AC Milan.

However, seven wins in eight Serie A fixtures have reignited hope that Inter can win their sixth title in succession as their deficit has now been cut to just five points, while they also have a game in hand.

Goalkeeper Julio Cesar said: “In a month, everything has changed. The important thing is to take advantage of the slip-ups by our rivals that are ahead of us. Milan should be worried about us.”

Milan may have still only lost once in their last 15 Serie A games, but a second successive draw, and a fourth in their last six fixtures, has allowed the chasing pack to move hot onto their heels.

AC Milan are now 10/11 to win Serie A and will hope that they can secure victories in their next two league games at home to Parma and away to Chievo.

The other club still fully involved in the title picture are Napoli, who successfully bounced back from a defeat at Cheivo to win at home to Cesena.

Napoli’s home form will be critical if they are to remain in title contention and defy odds of 8/1 to win Serie A.

Napoli have won seven of their last eight home games in the league and have kept clean sheets in all of the last six.
