Mallorca vs Bilbao – Visitors to win and score first

| 14.02.2011

Athletic Bilbao are one of the form teams in La Liga at present and they look like great value at 11/5 to extend their winning streak to five games by beating Mallorca.

Match Odds

Bilbao have crept into fifth place in the La Liga standings on the back of their four straight victories, while they have also won six of their last eight fixtures.

Furthermore, their recent form on the road has been more than reasonable as they have taken seven points from a possible nine.

Mallorca’s latest results have not been so inspiring as they have secured just one point from their last four games, while their last home fixture ended in a 4-0 defeat to Deportivo.

However, Mallorca are unbeaten in their last three homes games with Bilbao and are priced at 5/4 in the La Liga betting to land the spoils.

Another thing in Mallorca’s favour is that they have triumphed in six of their last ten home games this season.

Team to score first

Starting games quickly has been a key feature of Bilbao’s notable opening to the campaign.

No La Liga teams can match Bilbao in terms of scoring in the opening 15 minutes of league matches, with the Basque outfit netting nine goals in this period so far this season.

Therefore, taking the 6/5 that they score first against Mallorca may prove a prudent strategy as they are likely to be fast out of the blocks again.

Fernando Llorente is easily their leading scorer with 13 league goals and may represent the best bet to be the first goalscorer at 11/2.

Emiliano Nsue is likely to be selected in attack for Mallorca and he may also be worth a small bet at 8/1 to open the scoring.

A £25 stake on the scorecast of Bilbao winning 2-1 and Llorente scoring would return £1000. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
