More money for the SNP in Scottish Elections
Published:THE SCOTTISH NATIONAL PARTY have been well backed for the Scottish Parliamentary election by Ladbrokes’ political punters.
A decent run of money for the party over the weekend has prompted the bookmaker to cut the odds of an SNP majority to 11/4 (from an opening quote of 11/2).
Labour are pushed to 2/9 with both the Conservatives and Lib Dems remaining rank outsiders at 100/1 each.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The only money we’re seeing at the moment is for the SNP. Labour looked a shoo-in at one point but the betting now indicates the SNP are ready to give them a real run for their money.”
