Newcastle vs Bolton – Toon overpriced at 11/10

| 25.02.2011

Only Arsenal have lost fewer Premier League games than Newcastle in 2011 and they can continue their good form against a Bolton side that have been dismal on their travels of late.

Match Odds

Newcastle’s betting odds are 11/10 to beat Bolton and Fulham remain the only team to beat Alan Pardew’s men in the Premier League this year.

However, the Toon have only triumphed in one of their last six league games and this may give Bolton hope of turning around their disappointing recent form.

Bolton may have won four of their last five games in all competitions, but away from home in the top-flight they are on a dire run.

Six successive away defeats in the Premier League have ended any slim hopes that Bolton had of maintaining a challenge to finish in the top four, while they have also not been helped by scoring just six league goals so far in 2011.

It is 5/2 in the Premier League betting that Bolton beat Newcastle, with the draw priced at 23/10.

To Score At Any Time

Daniel Sturridge has found the target in all three of his league games for Bolton since arriving on loan from Chelsea and this should ensure that he starts against Newcastle.

Sturridge is 2/1 in the Premier League odds to score at any time in the 90 minutes against Newcastle, while he is available at 6/1 to score the opening goal.

Meanwhile, Ivan Klasnic is 9/4 to score at any time and will have substantially boosted his chances of securing a starting spot with the winning goals in recent cup victories over Wigan and Fulham.

For Newcastle, Leon Best is perhaps their most likely source of a goal and is 6/4 to find the net against Bolton, with Peter Lovenkrands likely to be his strike partner and a 7/4 chance to add his name to the scoresheet.

A £25 stake on Newcastle beating Bolton 2-1 would return £175. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
