Real Madrid and Barcelona final looks on the cards

Real Madrid are 1/3 in the betting odds to show the character needed to bounce back from their recent La Liga defeat to Osasuna and beat Sevilla in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi final.

Karim Benzema’s goal in the opening leg gave Real Madrid a slender 1-0 lead in Sevilla and despite Jose Mourinho stating that his team are not in the correct mental state to play well twice in three days, they are expected to qualify.

Real Madrid have won four of their last five showdowns with Sevilla and have triumphed 1-0 in the two most recent meetings.

It is 13/2 in the Copa del Rey betting that Real Madrid win 1-0 again.

However, defending champions Sevilla are not planning to go down without a fight and feel they can overturn their first-leg deficit.

President Jose Maria Del Nedo has admitted his team are the underdogs, but Sevilla could take advantage of any unrest in the Real Madrid camp following their Osasuna reverse.

Sevilla are 8/1 to beat Real Madrid and it is 40/1 that they win 2-0, which would secure their spot in the final for the second year in succession.

The other semi-final is far less unpredictable after Barcelona hammered Almeria 5-0 in their first leg.

Barcelona have also won all ten of their La Liga away games this season and are 2/5 to bring this sequence into the cup against Almeria.

But Barcelona did ease off the pedal in the second leg of their quarter final with Betis and lost 3-1.

Therefore, it may be worth a small investment on Almeria avoiding defeat, with the double chance of them either winning or drawing priced at 6/4.

A £25 stake on Real Madrid winning 2-1 would return £175. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
