Swansea hold off challengers to stay second in the Championship

A comfortable home win against Leeds United has seen Swansea City’s Championship odds cut into 8/1 from 14/1 to win the title.

But It’s a sign of just how strong Queens Park Rangers are in the Championship that their closest rivals in the betting are all priced at 8/1 – a long way adrift of QPR’s price of 1/2 to win the Championship.

Swansea join Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest at 8/1 to win the Championship, but while Cardiff took a much-needed three points away at Hull City, Forest stuttered at Millwall.

In recent weeks Forest have emerged as the side most likely to topple QPR in the race for the title, but Billy Davies’ side now find themselves nine points adrift of QPR with a game in hand and as such, have seen their Championship odds lengthen from 4/1 to 8/1.

Cardiff remain steady at 8/1 but with QPR’s relentless form, the league leaders are the pick of the value in the Championship winners betting market and new customers can use a free £25 bet to back QPR for the title by signing up here.

Forest are the only team from the top six in action in Tuesday’s Championship fixtures, and despite being away to Middlesbrough, it’s a game you would expect them to win.

Derby host Doncaster and Scunthorpe travel to Portsmouth in the other two of Tuesday’s three Championship fixtures, and all the latest betting news on those fixtures can be found on news.Ladbrokes.com as Tuesday draws nearer.

A £25 stake on Nottingham Forest winning the Championship would return £225. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
