Unchanged Scotland searching for only fourth win over Wales

Scotland will stick with the same team that ran in three tries against France as they look to justify their favouritism in the Six Nations betting.

Despite losing to France last weekend, Scotland managed to treble their try count for the previous five games in eighty minutes and Andy Robinson’s side are in confident mood ahead of Wales’ visit to Murrayfield.

Scotland are the 8/13 favourites to beat Wales on Saturday but have managed just three wins over the Welsh in Six Nations history.

But Wales are on a eight match winless streak, and for a side that relies heavily on confidence, there seems to be very little around the Welsh camp at the moment.

Dan Parks will come up against a number of his Cardiff Blues teammates and Wales coach Warren Gatland has urged Parks’ teammate Jamie Roberts to target the Scotland number 10.

Parks put in an solid if unspectacular display in Paris last weekend but he will be the key to Scotland winning against a side that conceded eight penalties to England.

Last year’s match-up was the tie of the Six Nations and rugby fans will be hoping for a repeat of the five-try thriller.

The handicap betting sees Wales receive a three-point start and they are 5/6 to win with the points advantage, but with tries expected, punters should look at the winning margin betting markets.

Scotland’s last win against Wales was by a 12-point margin and the Scots are 13/2 to win by 11-15 points.

But punters would be better off backing Scotland at 13/8 to win by 1-10 points in what could be an end-to-end game in which Scotland and Ospreys wing, Nikki Walker, is 12/1 to get the first try.

Scotland captain Alastair Kellock opened his account with a try against France and is a huge price at 50/1 to score the first try on Saturday.

A £25 stake on Kellock scoring first would return £1,275. New customers can sign up here for a free bet worth £25.
