Lievremont for the guillotine after shock in Rome?

Published:

French rugby coach Marc Lievremont is 2/1 NOT to lead his country to the World Cup later this year according to Ladbrokes.

France suffered a shock defeat in Rome to Italy and the bookies reckon the boss could well carry the can for his country’s humiliation.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “The noose could be tightening around Lievremont’s neck. France played terribly and it seems unlikely that his fellow countrymen will be forgiving.”

France were backed in from 1/14 to just 1/20 for the match before the Azzurri tore up the script – and leave punters dazed.

“It was the biggest upset we’ve seen in an awfully long time. France were backed off the boards and have let everybody down” added Williams.
