Cambridge have attracted nearly 90% of the money taken on the Boat Race so far according to Ladbrokes.

Since opening the betting the 8/13 favourites have been exceptionally well backed with the bookies reporting only slightly more money for Oxford (6/5) than the dead heat (100/1).

Cambridge winning distances have also been popular with 2 lengths or less the best backed selection at 9/4.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Our book looks pretty one-sided at this stage and we’re firmly in the Oxford camp. Our only saving grace is the distance betting indicates it ought to be a close race.”
