Adele odds-on to break Marley’s album record

Published:

Adele is tipped to break Bob Marley & The Wailers’ record for the most consecutive weeks at number one according to Ladbrokes.

The bookies quote odds of just 1/6 that her ’21’ spends another two weeks at the top therefore breaking the record set by the reggae stars in 1984.

And it’s an even shorter 1/16 that she sits at the top next week – with either of her current albums. Katy B’s ‘Katy On A Mission’ is the only release given a chance of knocking her from the top with odds of 4/1 and it’s 8/1 that any other record is number one next week.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Adele looks set to smash Marley’s record and in the process could set one which lasts for just as long. Katy B seems the only danger.”
