Blackburn look a better bet than four odds-on clubs for relegation
The Premier League relegation picture has been tight for much of the campaign and even though there are only a handful of games remaining, there are still four teams odds-on in the Premier League betting to face the drop this season.
Teams including Aston Villa, West Brom and Birmingham appear to have done enough in recent weeks to secure their Premier League survival for another season and realistically there are now five clubs battling to avoid finishing in the bottom three.
Of these five, Blackburn are the only team still trading at odds-against, but it is still proving difficult to split them from Wigan, Wolves, Blackpool and West Ham.
The relegation odds market has been topsy-turvy throughout much of the last few months, with West Ham and Blackpool now deemed the most likely to go down.
Both clubs are 1/3 in the Premier League odds to be relegated, even though Blackpool are currently positioned outside of the relegation places.
However, they are woefully out of form as they have not won a league game since February.
Wolves are another club on a poor run of form at the wrong time as they have taken just one point from their last three games and are 4/5 to be relegated.
Wigan are the team in some degree of form, having improved their survival hopes with two wins in five games.
This has resulted in them shortening from 4/11 in March to 4/7 to be relegated.
Despite Blackburn being 5/4 and not odds-on, based on current form they look worthy relegation candidates.
Blackburn are without a win in 11 league games, are only one point clear of the bottom three, and still have away games at Wolves and West Ham remaining, alongside a home clash with Manchester United.
