All signs point to Jedward Euro victory – Stats also give Blue a shout

Published:

All signs now point to a Jedward victory in this Saturday’s Eurovision song contest according to Ladbrokes.

The past nine years of betting history point to a Jedward win as an incredible three of the last four winners have had odds of 4/1. Jedward are currently 4/1 second favourites which should give backers even more confidence as the second favourite has won four of the last nine contests.

France will be bidding to buck the trend as favourites have only won two of the last nine competitions.

The stats also give Blue half a chance as we’ve had three winners at double-figure prices. Blue currently trade as 10/1 shots following big public support last week, forcing their odds in from 33/1.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “It looks written in the stars for Jedward. Anyone yet to make their mind up only needs to take one look at the stats and see that all signs point to an Irish victory.”

Jedward are now an incredible 4/1 having been 25/1 last week. Around 30% of all bets taken has been for the twins, with customers logging on from around Europe to back them online.

Donohue added: “Jedmania has truly set in across the continent and if they do the business we’ll have to get the Euros ready.”
