Blackpool & Birmingham relegation favourites – Hughton 2/1 for West Ham
Published:BLACKPOOL & BIRMINGHAM will suffer relegation from the Premier League on Sunday, according to Ladbrokes.
The firm have priced up every potential relegation permutation and make Wigan and Blackpool 9/4 chances to be relegated. It’s 16/1 Birmingham and Wolves go down, with Wolves and Blackburn (who play each other on the final day) an unlikely 250/1 to both end up in the Championship next season.
With relegation confirmed for West Ham they are currently looking for a new manager and Chris Hughton is now the 2/1 favourite for the job. Steve McClaren drifts to 6/1 with Iain Dowie introduced to the market at 14/1.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “A tough trip to Old Trafford leaves Blackpool warm order to go down. The odds suggest Birmingham will join them but on a hectic final day nothing is a certainty.
“The West Ham market has been typically volatile. McClaren was all the rage yesterday and now it’s Hughton who the punters want.”
