Kaka’s mum strengthens rumour of summer Chelsea switch

Kaka has been linked with a move to Chelsea for a long time and recent revelations on twitter offer the clearest indication yet that Roman Abramovich will finally land his man in the summer.

Chelsea reportedly offered £100m to AC Milan for the Brazilian in January 2009, but he eventually moved to Real Madrid fort a little more than half this amount in the summer of the same year.

However, it would be an understatement to label Kaka’s time at the Bernabeu as disappointing, as he has been troubled by a combination of poor form and injury.

Kaka has begun to put his nightmare behind him of late as he closes in on a return to full fitness, but it still seems that manager Jose Mourinho is keen to help one of his biggest earners leave the club in the summer.

Free-spending Manchester City could certainly meet any transfer fee and wage demands, but speculation suggests that a move to Chelsea seems more likely.

It is Kaka’s mum that has started the speculation, by revealing through her twitter account that she is coming to England this summer.

She stated: “Next season we will be in London from the middle of August.”

Real Madrid will be keen to recoup much of the £56m they paid for Kaka, but there is a strong possibility that if he moves to Stamford Bridge then other players could also be involved in such a deal.

Mourinho has already indicated that he would be interested in bringing the likes of Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba or John Terry to Real Madrid from Chelsea if agreements could be reached.

If Chelsea do sign Kaka and he rediscovers his best form, they could prove a good bet to win the 2012 Premier League title at odds of 7/4.
