Milan to get point needed at Roma to secure Serie A title

AC Milan are one point away from winning Serie A for the 18th time in their history and they can be expected to confirm the title by securing at least a draw from their trip to Roma.

Milan have three games left to get the point they require, but doing so at Roma would allow them to take it easy in their closing fixtures at home to Cagliari and away to Udinese.

They head to Rome on a five-game winning streak in the league and are 15/8 in the Serie A betting to beat Roma.

Their chances are also aided by the fact that they have taken 12 points from their last five away games, while Roma will be without Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta, who are both suspended.

Furthermore, Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri can welcome back star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has now finished serving his own three-game ban.

However, Milan have failed to score in their last two league meetings with Roma and have beaten the opposition just once in the last five seasons.

The good news for Milan is that they have drawn three of their last four away games with Roma and it is 11/5 that the points are shared again.

Roma are still in contention for the fourth and final Champions League place and know the importance of a victory to help with this quest.

It is 6/4 in the Serie A odds that Roma beat Milan, which would improve on a run that has seen them win only two of their last seven home games.

Meanwhile, Roma may also take confidence from the fact that they have beaten Milan already this season, when triumphing 1-0 at the San Siro back in December.
