More giant-killing for AFC Wimbledon?

Published:

AFC Wimbledon are 14/1 with Ladbrokes to knock out a Premier League club in either of the two domestic cup competitions next season.

Having secured their return to the football league, the club are just 3/1 to be promoted again next season. They are 12/1 to win the league and 14/1 to make an immediate return to non-league football.

Ladbrokes offer 20/1 that AFC will meet MK Dons in cup football next term and 3/1 that the clubs will play in the same league in the 2012/13 season.

5/1 is available about either Vinnie Jones, Lawrie Sanchez or Dennis Wise managing the club before the end of 2012.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “Our markets suggest that AFC Wimbledon will continue to climb the league ladder. Bigger clubs will be keen to avoid them in the Cup.”
