Big Sam 4/5 to last the season – Parker 4/1 to stay

Sam Allardyce is odds-on with Ladbrokes to last the season as West Ham manager.

It’s 4/5 he’s still in charge of the club for the first match of the 2012/2013 season with odds of 2/1 for promotion suggesting the Hammers could bounce back at the first attempt.

The bookies also expect Allardyce to be in place after Christmas (1/4 he’s in charge on the 1st of January 2012) and his biggest challenge will be to keep hold of Scott Parker who is 4/1 to still be at the club after the transfer deadline.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Allardyce has been given a clear mission and we think he’s got a decent chance of steering West Ham back to the Premier League at the first attempt. The immediate task is to retain Parker which looks less likely.”
