Man City 6/4 to sign Sanchez after Udinese revelations

Alexis Sanchez seemed set to be on his way to Barcelona, but it now appears that Manchester City are the favourites to secure the signature of the exciting Chilean winger.

Manchester City’s odds are now 6/4 to sign Sanchez and it seems that they are prepared to table the largest bid for the 22-year-old, albeit still short of Udinese’s £44m valuation.

Rumours are that Manchester City are willing to pay around £30m in cash for Sanchez, which is more to Udinese’s liking than Barcelona’s offer of cash plus players.

This deal is further complicated because as things stand none of the youngsters that Barcelona are attempting to use as makeweights in a deal are interested in switching to Udinese.

Although Barcelona is still thought to be the preferred destination for Sanchez, he is now speculated to be opening up to the idea of moving to Manchester City and showing his skills in the Premier League.

Udinese owner Gianpaolo Pozzo has also stated that Manchester City are currently ahead of Barcelona in the race to Sign Sanchez.

He said: “If he was to leave, I would say that City have the highest probability of success.”

Barcelona are now 11/4 to be the next club of Sanchez, but all of the money in recent days has come for Chelsea poaching with a late offer.

Chelsea were initially 12/1 to sign Sanchez, but this price has now been cut to 9/4 following some strong weekend support.

Manchester United are another Premier League club linked with a move for Sanchez and it is 12/1 that the youngster becomes the first Chilean to arrive at Old Trafford.

Real Madrid are considered the other option open to Sanchez, but 8/1 seems a fair price that he joins Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu.
