Plenty of value at Ascot as Ladbrokes go 1/4 odds for four places

Picking a winner is usually a pretty difficult task at Royal Ascot and, Frankel aside, there are some very tough races today.

The Group One King’s Stand Stakes (15:05), the Group Two Coventry Stakes (16:25), the Ascot Stakes (17:00) and the Windsor Castle Stakes (17:25) all feature at least 19 runners, and both the Coventry and the Windsor Castle are full of juvenile two-year-olds.

You can read our preview’s for all four races here which should help make things a little clearer for you, but it’s Ladbrokes’ each-way promotion in which they are offering a 1/4 odds for four places that will really make the difference.

In the King’s Stand Stakes betting, 16 of the 19 horses running are priced at 10/1 or bigger and with a quarter of the odds, you’re getting at least 5/2 for a top four finish.

Bridgetown, Overdose and Sweet Sanette all catch the eye and should run strong races, but it’s Holiday For Kitten who really benefits from the offer and we think the three-year-old can run a storming race and snatch a place.

The Coventry Stakes sees 20 of the 23 runners priced at 12/1 or bigger and even if the three market leaders in Mezmaar, Power and Gatepost finish in the first three, there is still a spot for a big-priced fancy to claim some each-way money.

The Ascot Stakes pits 20 horses against each other and 17 of these are priced at 10/1 or bigger, and Private Story could possibly run a huge race for his new yard at 50/1.

The Windsor Stakes is anyones guess but with the likes of Rent Free (33/1) and Wolfgang (25/1) being tipped for big things, there’s plenty of value to be found in that race also.

The four place offer allows punters to really find some value in the Royal Ascot odds and there are a number of outsiders who could return a huge profit at Ascot racecourse today.
