Webber in pole position on the grid and the betting for German GP
Published:The Nurburgring was the scene for Mark Webber’s first ever Grand Prix triumph two years ago and the Australian driver will be hoping for a repeat performance in on Sunday.
Consecutive poles mean Webber is the man in form and the one they all have to get past tomorrow but with teammate Sebastian Vettel dominating the championship, Webber finds himself joint favourite for tomorrow’s race.
Both Red Bull drivers are 9/4 to win the German Grand Prix with Lewis Hamilton available at 5/2 and Fernando Alonso at 9/2.
Jenson Button will start from seventh on the grid following Saturday’s qualifying and the Englishman leads the chasing pack at 20/1 in the German Grand Prix betting.
While Button struggled in qualifying, his teammate Hamilton was threatening to upset the Red Bull dominance and Hamilton could well be the one to watch tomorrow.
Hamilton last won this race in 2008 where he led from the front after earning pole position and you can guarantee Hamilton will be going all guns blazing to beat Webber into the first corner tomorrow.
Vettel will be disappointed by his performance in qualifying and third on the grid is a position he hasn’t seen all season.
In front of a home crowd, the leader of the driver’s championship will fight all the way for victory and Webber has a very tough job keeping both his teammate, and Hamilton at bay tomorrow.
