Bet on the first ever Facebook-streamed football match with Ladbrokes!

In an unprecedented move by FA Cup sponsors Budweiser, Facebook will be bringing us live coverage of Ascot United’s clash with Wembley FC this evening.

The two non-league sides will be relishing the chance to prove themselves on the big screen and, with 700 million people on the social networking site, you can guarantee both sets of players will have hit the barbers and tanning salons on Thursday night.

It will be the first broadcast of its kind anywhere in sport and as the FA Cup looks to push the boundaries of social media and its role in sport, punters can bet on the revolution with Ladbrokes.

This extra preliminary round of the FA Cup offers 408 clubs the chance to progress to the preliminary round of the FA Cup which is then preceded by the first qualifying rounds.

While the first round of the FA Cup is still at least six matches away, there is £750 of prize money on offer to the winner and both Ascot and Wembley will be desperate to progress.

Ascot are the favourites because of their home advantage with Wembley outsiders to win.

Both clubs play at the same level of the English football system but in different leagues.

Ascot play in the Hellenic Football League Premier Division and finished 12th last season while Wembley play in the Combined Counties League Premier Division and finished 14th last season.

It’s fair to say the two teams are reasonably matched so home advantage could prove a huge benefit to Ascot, but Wembley are two games into their new season while Ascot are yet to feature in a league match.

Wembley won their home game and drew their away game but in those two games have scored six and conceded three.

Considering Ascot scored 98 goals in 42 league games last season, we’re in for a goal fest that Wembley can win because of their game time.
