The Weekly Accumulator: Back big guns to win in Europa League

| 25.08.2011

38 spots in the group stages of the Europa League are to be sealed after the second legs of the play-off round ties and we think we have identified ten winners that pay a combined 66/1.

Of them, AEK Larnaca are the biggest priced selection to beat Rosenborg, but they have won both their home qualification games already in the competition this season and held their own in the away leg when gaining a goalless draw.

Elsewhere, Spartak Moscow should make their superior squad count at home to Legia Warsaw, while the latter’s fellow Poles Slask Wroclaw look to have their work cut out in beating Rapid Bucharest after losing the initial leg at home.

Lazio thumped Rabotnicki 6-0 in the home leg and even if picking a weakened team, they should still secure another win in Macedonia, while local rivals Roma are not so comfortable, after losing 1-0 to Slovan Bratislava.

Roma dominated for long spells without managing to score, but are fancied with home advantage, especially as Francesco Totti is expected to return.

Schalke are perhaps the biggest club in danger of not reaching the group stages as last season’s Champions League semi finalists were beaten 2-0 in Finland by HJK Helsinki.

Jefferson Farfan also returns for Schalke and will add some useful pace to their attacks.

Roma to beat Slovan Bratislava @ 2/9

Dinamo Bucharest to beat Vorskla @ 8/11
