Kelly Rowland holds the aces in the X Factor odds

Kelly Rowland appears the judge to beat in the X Factor betting after being handed the girls’ category following the conclusion of the Boot Camp stage of the competition.

Eight acts now remain in each category as the contestants head to judges’ houses, with Gary Barlow also happy to get the boys, Tulisa Contostavlos ecstatic with the groups and Louis Walsh mentoring the over 25s.

With the top three acts in the overall X Factor betting all in the girls’ category, there is a strong chance that Kelly will have at least one contestant in the final and she is 11/10 to be the winning judge.

Janet Devlin has been the favourite to win the X Factor ever since her rendition of ‘Your Song’ in the first week of televised auditions and she retains her spot at the head of the market following Boot Camp.

It is 11/4 in the X Factor odds that Janet wins the X Factor and she impressed again at Boot Camp with a unique version of Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’.

Amelia Lily and Scottish star Jade Richards are the other favourites to win the X Factor at 9/2 and 7/1 respectively.

Four acts are to be sent through to the live shows from each category and competition for the final place in Kelly’s quartet could be fierce, with Melanie McCabe, Misha Bryan and Sophie Habibas likely to be the main contenders.

However, there is no guarantee that the three favourites will all reach the live shows as Gamu Nhengu discovered on the X Factor last year.

The other girls looking to make the live shows are Holly Repton and Sarah Watson, with the latter being named as a late replacement for Sian Phillips, who was kicked out of the competition after it was discovered she had previously spent time in jail.
