Scotland harden for Rugby World Cup quarter finals
Published:SCOTLAND HAVE hardened in the qualification betting with Ladbrokes after their victory over a physical Georgia side.
The Scots are now 8/13 from 8/11 to qualify for the knockout stages, shunting Argentina out to 6/5. England are a prohibitive 1/150 to progress.
The bookies are also breathing a sigh of relief after the first favourite covered the handicap in the shape of Samoa and the first underdog from scratch (Canada) scored a victory over Tonga.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Georgia fronted up to Scotland and rewarded punters who stuck with them on the handicap and unders in match point betting. The match against Argentina now looks like the qualification decider and we’ve got Scotland down to edge it.”
