Norwich vs Swansea: Away day blues to continue for Swans

Published:

Both Norwich and Swansea will be pleased with the start they have made to life in the Premier League this season and it is the hosts who are perhaps the most likely to triumph in the battle between the promoted clubs.

It is Norwich’s home form that stands most in their favour as they have only been beaten in one of their last 15 league games at Carrow Road and only once in 2011.

Meanwhile, Swansea’s record at the ground and their away form in general is not the best.

They are not only still waiting for their first ever Premier League point on their travels and have been beaten on nine of their last ten trips to Carrow Road.

Norwich’s odds are 6/5 to beat Swansea and consolidate their spot in the top half of the Premier League standings after eight games of the season.

Swansea have been especially stingy in defence so far and will have a good chance of taking a result from Norwich if continuing this mentality, as clean sheets do not come easily to Paul Lambert’s men.

The Swans have won three of their last four league games with Norwich and are 9/4 to do so again, while 23/10 is on offer that the points are shared.

A boost for Swansea is that they will be able to welcome back Leon Britton following injury, while Kemy Agustien will also be hopeful of a start.

Danny Graham will have gained some confidence from finally scoring his first Premier League goal of the season against Stoke and he is 7/1 to open the scoring against Norwich.

Wes Hoolahan is among Norwich’s chief playmakers and he is also 7/1 to strike first.
