Strictly Come Dancing: Nancy favourite for Halloween axe

| 29.10.2011

If you thought Strictly Come Dancing couldn’t get any scarier, then it may be wise to stay away from the television this Halloween weekend.

The sight of Russell Grant in spandex is set to get even more horrific with the contestants poised to perform Halloween-themed dances this Saturday night.

It looks set to be even worse for Nancy Dell’Olio though as the 50-year-old is in at 6/1 to be the fourth contestant kicked off the show.

Dell’Olio is set to perform a rumba with Anton Du Beke to Lulu song Spooky, but she will have to improve dramatically if she is to avoid the boot.

The pair have been the lowest scoring couple in all of the shows so far and time looks to be running out for them – Rory Bremner was a surprise elimination last week but there should be no such shocks this week.

The cuddly but cumbersome Audley Harrison is second favourite to be eliminated at 11/4 but he has improved every week during the series and bagged a very credible 25 points in last week’s show.

A poor boxing career means Harrison struggles to find friends in the public, but there are a number of contestants on this year’s show that are proving upopular and Harrison may have one more week.

Last week saw Jason Donovan knocked off top spot for the first time by Chelsee Healey and previous series of this show suggest this could be the start of the downfall for Donovan.

No contestant has ever won having topped the scoring charts in the first four weeks and Donovan may find his talents too good for this show as improving performers are preferred by both the judges and the public.

Harry Judd managed to get the first 10 of the series but it was the “first class” quote from Craig Revel-Horwood about Healey’s performance that really impresed and Revel-Horwood is 4/1 to pull out a 10 this week.
