Swansea vs Stoke: Unbeaten home record to continue for Swans

Published:

All of Swansea’s Premier League points have come from home games and Sunday’s clash with Stoke offers the Swans a great chance of improving their points tally.

Brendan Rogers’ side held the best home record in the Championship last season and they are yet to lose at home in their first three top-flight fixtures.

Match Odds

It’s an unbeaten run that stretches back 11 home games but Stoke are 17/10 to end that home run.

However the Potters have managed just the one win in their last 13 Premier League trips and Swansea are also 17/10 to win on Sunday with the draw available at 11/5.

A loss on Sunday would be Stoke’s 50th Premier League loss and considering the home form of their opposition, it’s a landmark that Tony Pulis looks likely to hit on Sunday.

Total Goals

Incredibly, the last seven league matches between the two have all finished 2-1 and a Swansea 2-1 win is available at 8/1.

Stoke’s new strikers are yet to really fire for the side this season and while Peter Crouch got his first Stoke goal last week, the club have fired in just 15 shots on target in their opening six league games.

Against what was the second best defence in the Championship last season, Stoke will have to up their attacking form if they are to trouble Swansea, but three clean sheets at home this season suggest Swansea are capable of keeping the Stoke strikers quiet.

The 2-1 stat is strong, but the Swansea defence is stronger and the Swans are 9/4 to keep a clean sheet and 3/1 to win to nil.
