Eastenders 1/20 to trump Corrie and be top Xmas soap
Published:EASTENDERS is the red-hot favourite to be the number one soap on TV this Christmas, according to Ladbrokes.
With odds of just 1/20 it will be the biggest shock in TV history if Eastenders doesn’t attract the most viewers on Christmas Day.
Walford’s closest rival is Coronation Street at 8/1. Emmerdale (25/1) and Hollyoaks (50/1) are outsiders.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Recent plot lines in Walford have left viewers gripped. Punters will surely head south and tune in to Albert Square on Christmas Day.”
