Little Mix favourites to win X Factor after brilliant few weeks

Little Mix are now the clear favourites to become the first group to win the X Factor after a storming couple of weeks for the girl group.

The Tulisa-mentored group have improved week on week and impressed on Saturday’s show with a brilliant rendition of the En Vogue song Don’t Let Go (Love).

That performance and the inability of any of the other acts to really make a grab for the title has seen the odds on them winning the competition slashed to 7/4.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “The tables have now turned for Little Mix. They’ve gone from strength to strength and anyone who backed them as Rhythmix now stands to make a fortune.”

The group – who were formally called Rhythmix – have benefited from being the only group left and getting the undivided attention of mentor Tulisa.

That is not something that can be said of the three remaining girls – Janet Devlin, Misha B and Amelia Lily.

Not only do they have to make do with having the attention of mentor Kelly Rowland divided three ways, they will also be without the former Destiny’s Child star for much of this week as she films a video in Paris.

Misha B remains the favourite to be voted off this week at 15/8 and that could prove to be a very worthwhile bet with many fans reacting badly to her ‘sob story’ about her estranged mother last week.

Former favourite Marcus Collins has drifted to 12/5 to win the show after yet another old-school performance on Saturday.

His performance of Jackie Wilson’s (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher was solid but there is a sense people are beginning to tire of the old-school vibe that would have been innovative and interesting before Mark Ronson stuck trumpets over every other record in the charts in 2006.
