Stingy Swansea provide a massive test for Manchester United

Boasting the meanest home defence in the entire Premier League, Swansea have taken to the top flight like a duck to water.

Swansea’s tremendous resilience at the Liberty Stadium has seen them concede just one goal in five league matches there, and for this reason, punters could be forgiven for ignoring the 2/5 price attributed to visitors Manchester United.

The home side, who have won their last three games in Wales, are a big 7/1 to triumph, and 7/2 looks a good price for the draw, considering the Swans’ unbeaten home record, and the undeniable talents within the ranks of the title-challenging away team.

The Premier League newbies are also a very respectable 11/2 to keep another clean sheet, and the 0-0 draw is priced at 12/1.

Differential from what we are used to seeing from the multi-time Premier League champions, Manchester United haven’t been as ruthless in front of goal as we have come to expect.

Having scored just once in each of their past four league matches, and up against the stingy Swans, the 1/1 on offer for under 2.5 total goals in the match looks unmissable.

Fergie’s men are not exactly generous at the back themselves, and have conceded one at the most on the road all season, with clean sheets in their past two games outside of Manchester.

The travellers are 1/1 to not concede here too.

Manchester United have also scored first in all but one of their away fixtures this season, and although 3/10 is a short price for them to take the lead in Wales, it is a bet that could be worth investing in.

As everything appears to point to a low-scoring affair at the Liberty Stadium, punters could find value in backing there to be a single goal in the match, available at a decent 4/1.
