Wolves duo return for Ireland and will hope to be among the goals

Kevin Doyle was the high-profile absentee from the line-up that left Ireland on the brink of Euro 2012 qualification against Estonia and he will be especially keen to make up for lost time at the Aviva Stadium.

Doyle was suspended for the first showdown in Estonia, but seems set to be recalled by Giovanni Trapattoni for Jon Walters despite scoring just one goal in his last eight international appearances.

With Ireland having already triumphed 4-0 away, they must be fancied at 4/11 to win again, but the better value will certainly be found in other markets.

Doyle may be one of these options and is 6/1 to open the scoring and 7/4 to strike at any time in the 90 minutes, which may be the better choice given that Ireland are likely to win comfortably again.

Robbie Keane helped himself to a double in the opener with Estonia and showed how importantly he is taking the return fixture by rejecting a plea from US club LA Galaxy to return for their MLS Cup Final.

Keane is 4/1 to break the deadlock against Estonia and 1/1 to score at any point in normal time.

The captain’s main reason for staying was that the job against Estonia was not 100 per cent complete, although the nation have never scored against Ireland in three previous attempts and it was against Luxembourg in 2004 that they last managed to win a game by a minimum of four goals.

Like Doyle, Stephen Hunt is expected to return for Ireland in Dublin and he also has the capabilities of finding the target.

For an Irish starter in midfield with an eye for goal, Hunt may be overpriced at 16/1 to strike first, especially if he is on free-kick duty.
