Blackburn vs Swansea: heat on Kean set to reach boiling point

Published:

Steve Kean has continually asked for patience from the Blackburn Rovers fans – but these are the games in which his players must deliver if they are to get off the bottom of the Premier League.

Swansea have yet to win away from home this season but face a Blackburn side low in confidence after eight league games without a win.

And it looks like there could be more than a few murmurs of discontent from the Rovers fans come the finals whistle this Saturday…

Match odds

Rovers have endured a dreadful first few months of the season and are rooted to the bottom of the league.

Meanwhile, Swansea have made a very solid start to life in the Premier League and have lost just three of their previous nine games.

They got a brilliant draw at Anfield in their last away game and are a tempting 11/5 to win this one.

However, Rovers are the 6/5 favourites to get their first win since their amazing 4-3 victory against Arsenal back in September.

Meanwhile, the draw can be backed at 12/5 and is tempting considering Rovers have drawn two of their previous four games and the Swans’ last two away games have both finished level.

Goal Markets

Despite their lowly position, Rovers haven’t had a problem finding the net recently and have scored seven in their last four league games – over 2.5 goals can be backed at 1/1.

However, Swansea have conceded just one goal in their previous three games – and that was against Manchester United.

With Brendan Rogers’ men starting to pick up points on the road, backing the Swans to emulate Cardiff City’s Carling Cup victory over Rovers in the week and win to nil looks good at 7/2.
