Beckham odds-on to lead Team GB at London Olympics
Published:DAVID BECKHAM is now odds-on to captain Team GB at the Olympics, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies have slashed his odds of wearing the armband this summer to just 1/2 and it’s 8/1 that the side win the gold medal.
Should the home side triumph on penalties, Becks is 150/1 to slot the winner and it’s also just evens that he curls in one of his trademark free kicks at any time.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We’ve slashed the odds about Beckham leading out the side this summer. We’ve no doubt already that his goals would cost us a fortune – especially if he grabs the winner.”
