Outsider Corey Feldman in big trouble on Dancing On Ice

Dancing On Ice has introduced a new twist for week two and although early comments suggest that it is not going to be appreciated by the majority of the fans of the show, it makes life easier from a betting standpoint.

The twist is that each act will be put in a direct head-to-head with another, dancing to exactly the same music.

Each pairing has been conceived by the leaderboard from the last show, so top scorers Jorgie Porter and Matthew Wolfenden will be rivals, alongside bottom duo Corey Feldman and Chemmy Alcott.

The judges will then decide which celebrity from each head-to-head most deserves to stay, which means that only six acts from the remaining 12 will be up for elimination from the public vote.

But with the top scorers likely to fare best with the public, it mainly seems that one of two or three celebrities will be forced to leave.

Corey is the 5/4 favourite in the Dancing On Ice odds to be the show’s fourth elimination and he does appear the most likely.

Head-to-head rival Chemmy largely underperformed on the latest show after impressing in the qualifying round and should easily be the selection of the judges to survive.

Corey does have a cult following and he will need all of these to vote again to help him survive, given the big silence in the studio when his name was called out last week, suggesting that many in attendance were surprised that he avoided the skate-off.

The other obvious mismatch is between Chico and Sam Nixon, with Chico almost certain to score the highest of the two former singing talent show losers.

Sam is 10/1 to follow his sidekick Mark Rhodes out of the door and this price will have shortened by the time voting is open to the public.
