Heidi to be fourth straight favourite to go out of Dancing On Ice

There is no stand-out weak dancer remaining on Dancing On Ice, but Heidi Range looks a prime candidate to be the next celebrity eliminated at 7/4.

The odds do not look good for Heidi as the betting has been correct in the last three weeks for Dancing On Ice elimination, with Corey Feldman, Charlene Tilton and Rosemary Conley all failing to stay in the competition.

And the pressure will be on the dancers more than ever next as the show delivers its next twist, following the head-to-head immunity challenge to be completed previously.

Back in the earlier series’ of Dancing On Ice, an enforced skill had to be incorporated into every routine, with examples being a small jump where both skates left the ice or a full spin.

This has since been scrapped, but on the next live show the contestants will have to complete the ultimate skills test.

Furthermore, it will be three acts and not the traditional two that will have to overcome the skate off, with two celebrities being sent home in a double elimination.

What will make survival even more challenging is that the celebrities will have to contest the skate-off on their own, without the support of their professional dance partners.

There are reasons to suggest Heidi does not have the public backing of some of the other acts and has arguably done well to remain in the competition after being in the bottom two in her qualification episode.

The sympathy vote may have saved her last week after stumbling over on the ice, having previously battled her nerves to complete a difficult lift.

But she is a prime contender to finish with one of the lowest three scores on the leaderboard and consistent comments from judge Katarina Witt that she is failing to strike the right bond on the ice with partner Andrei Lipanov will not help her cause.
