The Championship Accumulator: Bristol City lead midweek selections

| 13.02.2012

With a full Championship fixture list on Tuesday night, we believe we have picked out four home sides who can net a profit at more than 10/1.

Eyebrows may be raised at the choice of Bristol City after a 3-0 defeat at Hull on Saturday, but Derek McInnes will welcome the return to Ashton Gate, where they will meet a Crystal Palace side burnt out by their Carling Cup run.

Palace have won just one of their past seven Championship games, and having scored just five goals in those outings, lack the firepower to cause mass problems for City.

The Robins will be desperate to make an impression in front of their own fans, and can ease relegation fears at 5/4.

Middlesbrough look way too big at 4/6, as they welcome a dismal Nottingham Forest side who have won just one game in their past 14 attempts.

They scored their first home goal in seven games at the weekend, but ‘Boro should add to their five home wins without too much trouble here.

Meanwhile, Burnley welcome Barnsley to Turf Moor knowing they must improve their home form to have any chance of launching a play-off bid.

The Tykes’ visit provides a good opportunity to do that, with the Clarets looking decent at 8/11 for a win, considering they have conceded just once in their past four home games.

Brighton can round off the accumulator by continuing their resurgence at 4/5 against Millwall.

After a blistering start, the Seagulls’ top-six charge had faltered until recently, when four wins from six league games put them back in contention.

Their visitors have scored just two victories from their past 11 Championship matches.
