Attitude and not ability to spell end for Andy on Dancing On Ice

One thing that is almost guaranteed is that Andy Whyment will be propping up the leaderboard on the next episode of Dancing On Ice, but it is his attitude rather than skating ability that could spell the end of his time on the show.

Andy is 6/5 favourite in the Dancing On Ice odds to be tenth celebrity eliminated and the betting has not been wrong in recent weeks.

Sam Nixon was the fifth successive elimination favourite to be sent home last week and the onus is on Andy to avoid the continuation of this sequence.

Of the six remaining acts, Andy has only ever finished above two of them in the six shows to date that have been scored, once above Chemmy Alcott when everything went wrong for her and another when scoring .5 of a point more than Jennifer Ellison.

Andy has set his goal on surpassing the 20-point barrier out of 30 from the three judges for the first time, but even managing this feat is unlikely to keep him off the foot of the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, the way he acted in the last show when failing to get the score that he believed his performance warranted may have upset some viewers.

Andy’s backchat to the judging panel could have cast him in an unfavourable light with voters and it is unlikely they will appreciate something similar this week.

However, he does appear to be well supported by his fanbase from Coronation Street and there is the chance that this may keep alive for another week.

If he is summoned to the skate-off it is almost certain that he will depart, but it is possible he could accrue more votes than both Chemmy and Jennifer.

Chemmy has been in the skate-off in two of the past three weeks so must be a banker candidate to be in there again and is 2/1 to the next act eliminated.
