Championship accumulator: Cardiff to reclaim play-off place

Published:

Cardiff’s promotion bid has stumbled in recent weeks, but they can regain their play-off place with a home victory over Millwall to get our 13/1 Championship accumulator off to the optimum start.

Three successive draws have seen Cardiff slip just outside the top six, but they will fancy their chances of beating a Millwall side still with one eye on the relegation places behind them.

Cardiff are 5/6 to triumph and have won all of their home games against the current bottom eight in the Championship standings, aside from the recent blip when Coventry travelled to Wales.

Meanwhile, Millwall are on a run of three defeats from four games to sit safe by just five points and are without a victory in an away game against any of the top ten so far this season.

When it comes to home form, only Birmingham have lost fewer games on their own patch than the two defeats suffered by Crystal Palace.

Bottom club Doncaster may have left Selhurst Park with a point in the latest round of Championship fixtures, but the Eagles can return to winning ways against Nottingham Forest.

Crystal Palace are also unbeaten at home against all of the clubs currently below them in the league standings and are attractively priced at 7/5 to beat Nottingham Forest.

Derby make up our treble and represent our only away selections as they travel to Bristol City.

Bristol City have seemingly struggled since selling Nicky Maynard to West Ham and have won just one of their last 12 games.

Derby are 2/1 to inflict another defeat on them and have claimed victories in four of their last six fixtures.
